Danniel Worthen Cullumer

Peer-to-Peer Support Specialist

A safe place to breathe, be heard, and begin again.

There are seasons of life that do not simply hurt you. They change how you see yourself, how you trust others, and how you move through the world.

Trauma, grief, anxiety, abuse, stress, and major life transitions can leave a person feeling exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to begin. Danniel Worthen Cullumber understands that healing is not about rushing someone into answers. It begins with safety. It begins with trust. It begins with being met by someone who does not minimize what you have carried.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma-informed provider, and Peer Support Specialist with A Contagious Smile, Danniel brings a rare combination of professional experience, emotional intelligence, and grounded compassion. Her presence offers more than support. It offers steadiness.

Why Danniel

Danniel is the founder of Willow Medela Wellness in Utah and has spent more than two decades serving individuals, families, youth, adults, older adults, and people with special needs through trauma-informed care. Her work is rooted in empathy, empowerment, culturally responsive support, and the belief that healing must honor the whole person.

She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Social Work at Simmons University, continuing her commitment to social justice, holistic healing, and meaningful trauma recovery work.

Her background includes child welfare, recreational therapy, social work, trauma care, mindfulness, breathwork, and mind-body-spirit healing. She has experience supporting those navigating complex trauma, PTSD, grief, anxiety, mood disorders, stress, and emotional overwhelm.

What Makes Her Different

Danniel does not approach people like problems to be fixed.

She approaches them like human beings who have been through too much for too long and deserve to feel safe again.

Her support is calm, compassionate, thoughtful, and deeply respectful. She understands that some people need tools. Some need language for what happened. Some need grounding. Some need someone who can sit with the truth of their story without flinching. With Danniel, there is room for all of it.

Areas of Support

Danniel may be a meaningful fit for individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, caregiver stress, family stress, identity concerns, and the long process of rebuilding after painful experiences.

She also brings experience supporting first responders, crime victims, military personnel, paraprofessionals, individuals with special needs, and families carrying complex emotional weight.

What You Can Expect

When you meet with Danniel, you do not have to perform strength.

You do not have to explain your pain perfectly. You do not have to have the right words. You can arrive exactly as you are.

Her role is to help you feel supported, grounded, and less alone as you begin sorting through what has happened, what you need, and what healing could look like for you.

A Message For You

You are not broken because you are tired.

You are not failing because healing has taken longer than you hoped.

You are not too much because your story is complicated.

You deserve support that is patient, compassionate, and steady. You deserve a space where your voice matters. You deserve to be reminded that what happened to you is not the end of who you are.

With Danniel, you have a place to begin again.

If you are ready for support that feels safe, grounded, and deeply human, Danniel Worthen Cullumber is here to walk beside you.

Role in the Peer-to-Peer Network

Danniel serves within the Peer-to-Peer Support Network as a trained lived-experience support provider. Her role is to offer grounded, non-clinical support to individuals navigating emotional distress, trauma recovery, and life instability. This work is centered on presence, listening, and validation rather than diagnosis or treatment.

What Peer Support Looks Like

Peer support is not therapy or clinical intervention. It is a structured space where individuals can be heard, understood, and supported by someone with lived experience who understands the complexity of recovery and emotional overwhelm.

Important Information

Peer-to-peer support is not therapy, medical advice, or clinical treatment. It is lived-experience based support intended to provide understanding, presence, and emotional grounding. If you are in crisis or require clinical care, please seek appropriate professional or emergency services in your area.
