I have been where you are.
“I did not create A Contagious Smile from a distance. I created it from the places where I once needed someone to see me, believe me, and remind me that I mattered.”
I went through hundreds of photographs and chose only a few that I may share here—not because pain is a competition, but because I want someone who is living this, healing from it, or learning how to name it to know they are not alone. These are all images of me, Victoria. They document only a fraction of the injuries I endured during domestic violence, including while I was pregnant. I have undergone more than 120 surgeries to repair the damage. You are worthy of safety, tenderness, and a life that belongs to you.
